Ferrari's 250 series was produced from 1952 until 1964 and was the most successful model series in Ferrari's early stage. This version, the 250 GT California Spider LWB was produced primarily for the North American market and was Scaglietti's interpretation of a carbiolet variant based on the 250 GT coupe. In total, Ferrari produced 50 examples.

Unlike the Series 1 convertibles, Ferrari used large amounts of aluminum for the Californian's body. Among other things, the bonnet, doors and tailgate were made of aluminium, which was unique in that era. Furthermore, the same engine as in the 250 Tour de France race cars was fitted, a V12 with 240 horsepower at a whopping 7000 rpm.

This example is in an outstanding restored condition and is fully drivable.
